Baggage handling system (BHS) corridors carry mechanical clearance dimensions (typically 4.5 m clear height for the EDS machine). Fire and life-safety follow NBC Part 4 plus AAI's airport-specific fire code. Power distribution follows DGCA's emergency-light requirement at 100% backup. The BIM coordinator's job is to ensure every Revit family carries these as parameters and that the model schedules feed AAI's compliance reports automatically.

The Airside-Landside Boundary: Where Civil 3D and Revit Must Coexist

The single most expensive integration point on any airport project is the airside-landside boundary — the line between the secure airside and the public-access landside. ICAO Annex 14 governs grade transitions, drainage, fencing, perimeter intrusion detection, the ARFF (Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting) road, and the apron-edge geometry. On Lohegaon, this boundary runs nearly two kilometres and crosses the existing Terminal 1 apron.
