The national scheme targets one crore households by March 2027, with central subsidies of up to ₹78,000 for systems above 3 kW. Pune's solar irradiance -- around 5.0 to 5.5 peak sun hours a day -- is among the best in India, which is part of why EPC contractors here are chasing both residential volume and larger commercial rooftop and ground-mount contracts simultaneously.

Where BIM Actually Fits Into a Rooftop Solar Project

A small home rooftop system is typically designed and installed without any 3D modelling. A large commercial rooftop -- say, a warehouse roof in the Chakan-Talegaon belt or an IT park roof in Hinjewadi -- is a different problem: structural loading has to be checked against the existing roof, panel layout has to avoid clashes with existing HVAC ducting and plumbing vents, and cable routing needs coordination with the building's electrical systems.
