12 Weeks Inside a BIM Batch at ABC Trainings Pune: A Week-by-Week Curriculum Diary (2026)

Most course pages tell you the module names and stop there. Here is a realistic, week-by-week diary of a full BIM batch, based on how our Revit and Navisworks program is actually sequenced.

Weeks 1 to 3: Revit Architecture Foundations

The first three weeks are spent entirely on Revit Architecture: interface and navigation, levels and grids, walls, doors, windows, floors and roofs, and building a simple multi-storey structure from scratch. By the end of week 3, most students can independently model a small residential building with basic elevations and sections -- slower than an experienced modeller, but with correct habits instead of shortcuts that cause rework later.

Weeks 4 to 6: Revit Structure

Weeks 4 to 6 move into structural modelling: columns, beams, footings, structural framing and rebar detailing basics, plus an introduction to linking architectural and structural models correctly so the two disciplines do not silently drift apart. Students who already know AutoCAD tend to move faster through this stage because the underlying structural logic is familiar even though the tool is not.

Weeks 7 to 9: Revit MEP

Weeks 7 to 9 cover Revit MEP -- HVAC ducting, plumbing and electrical layouts -- with an emphasis on how MEP models are supposed to coordinate with the architectural and structural models rather than being modelled in isolation. This is usually where students first encounter real clashes: a duct running through a beam, a pipe clipping a wall, and start to understand why coordination is a skill in its own right.

Weeks 10 to 11: Navisworks and Coordination

The last two weeks before the capstone project focus on Navisworks: aggregating the architectural, structural and MEP models, running clash detection, and producing a clash report the way a coordinator would on a live project. This is the stage that most directly maps to entry-level BIM coordinator work in Pune's AEC firms.

Week 12: Capstone Project and Portfolio

In the final week, students complete a small end-to-end project -- typically a compact residential or small commercial building -- covering all four disciplines, which becomes the first piece in their job-hunting portfolio. A Note on Pacing

This 12-week structure assumes a standard weekday batch. Weekend-only batches at our Hadapsar centre cover the same four modules over a longer calendar span, and students who already know AutoCAD or have some Revit exposure often move through the first three weeks faster, using the extra time for more advanced MEP and coordination practice instead.
