Before Class Starts: Attendance and Warm-Up Review

Sessions open with attendance and a short recap of what was covered last time, usually as a quick verbal Q&A rather than a formal test. This warm-up exists specifically to surface anyone who lost the thread since the last class, before new material gets layered on top of a shaky foundation.

The First Half: New Concept, Live Software Demonstration

The first half of a session is a live demonstration on the trainer's screen, projected so the whole batch can follow along in real time rather than reading static slides. Trainers work through the new tool or workflow at a pace slow enough to follow, pausing to explain why a particular setting or sequence matters, not just which buttons to click.

The Second Half: Hands-On Practice at Your Own Workstation

Once the demonstration ends, every student moves to their own machine and repeats the same workflow independently, usually on a slightly different exercise file so copying a neighbour's screen does not work as a shortcut. This is deliberately the longer half of the session, because watching a demonstration and actually performing the steps yourself are different skills, and the second one is what a job will actually test.

How Trainers Move Between Students During Practice Time
