I'm a structural engineer who fell hard for BIM in 2017 and never looked back. Nine years in, I lead the BIM track at ABC across our Hadapsar and Cidco (Sambhajinagar) centers — Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Navisworks coordination, and BIM 360 for live construction. Most of my students are Civil grads who can already analyse a slab on STAAD but have no idea how a real coordinated model gets delivered to a contractor. So my classes are built around the actual deliverable chain: federated model > clash detection > 4D sequencing > issue resolution > as-built handover. I've trained engineers from L&T and Shapoorji Pallonji teams on Navisworks clash workflows, and I sit on the curriculum committee that updates ABC's BIM syllabus every six months to track Autodesk releases. I'm Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit, and I take that recertification seriously — half the BIM trainers in India are still teaching 2019 workflows. If you're walking out of ABC with my certificate, you've cleared at least three live-project clash reports under my eye, not just a software walkthrough. The construction industry desperately needs BIM-literate engineers; I'd rather you get hired in Sambhajinagar than wait six months for a Pune offer.
